In response to Adrian -- I found six or seven chrysalises on my Bahama cassia plant, and missed the opening of all but the last two, despite many hours spent watching (they opened at times I could not be there -- a few missed by just minutes, and one of them was eaten by a wasp). This was the very last one, and I sat in the yard for well over an hour waiting for it to open after it appeared to be ready (the color changes and the "shell" becomes more transparent). It is very exciting, especially after a long suspenseful wait -- happens very quickly, and not on any schedule that I could determine, so a much more difficult task than I figured when I decided to try it.
Regards, cbr ;)
