Out of all the amazing locations I have visited, I must say that the best light I've ever seen has come from the grand canyon. And not just all pretty sunrises and sunsets. I've often once felt that in order to capture the beauty of the grand canyon you needed a very wide angle lens to capture it all. I've never been more incorrect about anything, because whenever I go to the canyon, the one lens I find myself using is a medium telephoto. Many people are amazed at the sheer size of the grand canyon, and it's hard to focus on a single area. However, with a particular mindset, you can find the true beauty of the canyon from the rim. All you need to do is zoom in where the light plays. The way the light lingers in the canyon walls and highlights each ridge and butte is much more intriguing than those pretty sunsets (as much as I love them). The rays of light here were just perfect and the golden hues just radiated through the scene.
