After another day of dense fog, I had almost given up hope of capturing a Haystack Rock silhouette. But then just as luck would have it, the fog started thinning and the sun started peeking through the clouds. I jumped in the car, drove to the Tolovana Park and trudged on loose sand more than a mile for a good composition. The waves, while receding, were trying to pull my tripod in the sea. I literally had to hold it down to prevent that from happening.
Finally, it was definitely worth it.
