No...I'm not kidding! I was scouting around Lake Tahoe and ended up here just before the sun went down. There was a couple there enjoying the evening, but they left only a moment later. Just me and the dogs...and then the sky blew up!

When I saw the clouds begin streaking like this it stopped me in my tracks. It was like the jet stream suddenly broke loose over the Sierra. I yelled to the dogs, "Are you seeing this??? Are you freakin' kidding me???" They wagged their tails and nuzzled my hands wondering what I wanted from them. I shot for about 40 minutes.

This is a four shot vertorama...two blended for the foreground and two for the sky, then hand blended in Photoshop. It was an unbelievable and totally unexpected evening.

I'm always a little slow at posting much social networking when I'd really prefer to be out shooting. I know I'm a lousy contact in keeping up with everyone, so I thank you as always for taking the time out of your busy lives to stop by for a look!
