A few nights ago, I was out in the neighborhood, walking my dogs. When I got to the corner, I looked up an noticed a veritable flock of hummingbirds (OK... maybe 4 or 5) darting in and out of the branches of these two beautiful Silk Floss (Ceiba speciosa) trees. I came back to try to photograph the hummingbirds, but since my lens is not powerful enough (max zoom 55mm), I contented myself with shooting the trees themselves, catching, as they were, the slanting light of a soon-setting sun.
