I use a programmable shutter release from ebay, set exposure time, interval and number of shots.

I took this one in march in the southern hemisphere, early autumn, sunset to sunrise. I used a single battery, warmer conditions extend battery life. In winter one battery will only do about 6.5 hours, 9.5 in summer.

OOPS! I see 270 separate 2-minute exposures. How did you rig your camera to take consecutive exposures for 9-hours? I have used a wide, strong rubberband to manually keep shutter button down, keeping shutter open for a few hours.

32,400-sec = 9-hour exposure. Only possible during winter. Did you manually extend exposure time? Batteries would drain before 9-hours.
