I'd plan to spend a few days up on the humberside and yorkshire coast. I'd always been fascinated by spurn point - the longest spit in the UK, but my interest was more from a geography point of view - that was until I found photography. It was the first place I headed in fact there at 5am - not really sure what to expect (note to self to research more). I arrived and the tide was on its way out - but I did find this pier - perfect, however conditions were far from ideal - so I decided to go back later for high tide. So back I went having rec'ied earlier I knew exactly what I wanted, and by good fortune the scene in front of me was what I imagined. Over the course of 4 days I went back a further 3 times, there's just a splendid isolation being stuck out - on what should be the mouth of the estuary, its quiet and peaceful
