The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta takes place every October and is one of my favorite events to photograph. Last year the Sandia Mountains where hit by cold temperatures and an early, unexpected storm. It was an amazing sight to see hundreds of hot air balloons lifting off with a few drifting east towards the snow covered mountains that made this shot possible.
I was actually stopped at a traffic light when I took this photo! I placed the car in park and ignored how ridiculous I probably looked as I took photos leaning out my passenger window :-)
