This series of images are another example of a scene I looked at for years, always telling myself I am going to get some photos of this. Next thing you know, it’s like 20 falls later and those images remain elusive – until now. I am carrying my little camera with me now as I commute to work.

I used to live around the corner from this lake. As soon as the air became colder than the water, mists would appear. You don’t see the mists in this image very strongly – the sun is rising - but they are there, to the left and across the lake. When you stand there, the mist moves around in front of you. The sun on the tree tops was lucky timing. This is the last of my (long neglected) mists at sunrise images.
