It takes a lot of work for this male southern mask weaver to reach this point where he has a female inside his nest and willing to start a family. He might have built 4 nests, each one she would have inspected and tested its strength, if weak it would be ripped up and he would start again.

I wanted to capture the moment when he was on his way back to the nest. I have plenty of images of him leaving but they are not appealing as its the back end of him flying away. Getting your timing right for when he is about to land is tricky. This was just a pure magic moment when she popped her head out as he came in to land.
