Thanks for the comments Mickey and a lot of it is luck. From now on when you drive or walk around try to take a shot the way it appeals to you as you see it. Not how someone thinks it should look. When I drive alone I am always spotting things that appeal to me and put them in my memory bank. You will soon find that there are things that always attract you that are the same. When you figure that out hone in on those kinds of shots and work on presenting them through your eyes not the eyes that you think people want. When your heart is in it the rest will follow eventually. We all started pretty much at the same place and then we move forward like toddlers with crawling, then walking and then being out on our own. No matter what stage you are or what stage you think you are there will always be people to help you if you ask. Most people don't wake up and are great photographers. You will get to where you want to be.
