I'll start by saying that I don't think there's anything special about this photograph. The light is pretty normal, the sky isn't amazing and there's nothing spectacular going on.
I'll continue by saying that, despite all this, I really really like this photo.

This was taking during possibly one of the longest days (or series of days) of my life. We (myself and my friend Greg Annandale had gotten up around 04:00 for a sunrise shoot at The Forbidden City and had spent a couple of hours taking photos in that location.

After this, we headed into Jingshan Park and up to Jingshan Hill, which I believe is made from all the earth that was excavated to make the moat around the Forbidden City. I'm sure someone will correct me if this is wrong.

The thing that amazing me about this park was that, even at about 06:30 in the morning, it was filled with old people. Just just old people sitting around, but doing all manner of things.

Some were playing hacky sack, others were walking backwards up steps. One lady, who must have been about 100 years old was standing screaming at a large stone wall. Whatever it was, it all seemed to work; these were very old people, who were very active. The western world could probably learn a thing or two by visiting here.
