This place just happens to be my favourite beach in the whole of Scotland and it is filled with the softest and most delicate shades from its windblown red sand beach to its turquoise water. I stare at breaking waves for a long time to work out the ebb and flow patterns and when I have found a shape that repeats itslef moderately consistently I set up and try to capture it. This turned out to be one of my favourites with a beautiful skirt timed to sink into the sand and retract just a little to soften the edges.
