The Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi ("Fountain of the Four Rivers") at the Piazza Navona in Rome where ancient Romans came to watch the agones ("games"). The fountain was designed by designed in 1651 by Gianlorenzo Bernini for Pope Innocent X but the piazza itself was built in 1st century AD on the site of the Stadium of Domitian.
