We rode on horseback up to these falls as part of a tour, and I was uneasy at first thinking we would have lots of other people, but we lucked out. It is the off season and my wife and I were the only two. I was quite excited as these are known to be some of the most beautiful falls in the country. It was a partly cloudy day which I was hoping for to keep the shutter speed slow. I screwed on a 2-Stop ND and a Polarizer, dropped the D800 to ISO 50 and fired off a test shot that also came out fabulous. However the last second and a half of this exposure the sun peeked out from the clouds and did some amazing natural light painting. As it happened in the blink of an eye I realized what happened and got really excited. Sure enough...magic. Right place, right time, and some help from the photo gods. These falls are actually quite large and they look a little small here however they are a good 50-75ft high, and being the rainy season they were rushing! Enjoy!
