In relation to having my image Color Wash honored in the 2012 Nature's Best Awards I thought I would also include this photograph in my 500px gallery which won in 2008. It is a composite image representing the progression of the earth's shadow across the moon during the total lunar eclipse of August 28, 2007. I spent six hours photographing the entire event on a perfectly clear and cloudless night.
