Well...as luck might have it I ran into this fellow while out checking a waterfall landscape out with Don Hamilton Jr. You see, I actually owe it to the Eastern Bluebird flock that was producing their alarm call (for a reason I discovered a short while later). As I was scanning around the wooded area I was very surprised when my eyes came across this young Barred Owl. I have been back to the location twice and he/she seems to favor the area. Which bodes well for me! :) The owl was/is VERY accepting of human presence as you might notice the lens I used and focal length it was at. I suspect because the owl roost was located just off of a busy walk way within the park. Gotta wonder how many times I walked past this fellow when there weren't birds around. Sleep tight Mr. Barred, and thanks for giving me a nice autumn back drop as well. Thanks for stopping by and comments are appreciated.
