This was captured at Glencoe Lochan, a little off the beaten track but certainly accessible.

The woodland was planted by Lord Strathcona in the nineteenth century in an attempt to recreate the Pacific NorthWest for his homesick native-American wife.

A lochan nestles in the centre of the wood surrounded by majestic conifers and rugged mountains.
The Pap of Glencoe is peeking it's head over the top of the trees.
