The stunningly situated (and well preserved!) temple at Segesta, Sicily. It was an early start for this one - I'd scouted the location the day before and found this viewpoint, which looking east meant it had to be a sunrise shot. That plus the night-fog would be in that gorgeous mid-clearing stage where it catches the light beautifully. So after setting out from my hotel in Trapani early-doors, I was up here in the pre-dawn half-light grinning from ear to ear at the view in front of me - conditions couldn't have been any better. This view must have been inspiring people for thousands of years - it was certainly a humbling experience to know how many suns must have risen and set since this was first built...
