A special sighting. Not sure if all other photographers out there are aware of the current plight of rhinos here in Southern Africa. Poaching for the horns, which are sold in China and Vietnam as some kind of miracle cure-all, has increased tremendously in the last 2 years. Here in South Africa we are losing a rhino a day to ruthless poaching gangs. Take care of this photo, for in the near future you may not be able to photograph them in the wild anymore, unless we can stop the demand from Asia.

The heat is not so bad over here in Africa at this time since it's just coming out of winter .... but it's starting for sure .... about 90 degrees
