It was a strange storm and I happened to get very lucky at the hospital and at my house. The hospital is in Phila. and I love directly east of the hospital in New Jersey. The eye of the storm came from the east heading west and so a small area had actually not much of anything but extremely strong winds, but everything around us was horribly damaged, but again not as bad as the shore towns and New York. There are efforts being made all over to help all those people who lost homes, possessions, and suffered loss of life. While my area was not that great affected there was still the small annoyances like flooded roads, trees blown over (and huge ones), loss of electricity, internet, cable, food stores closed, no gasoline etc. What's worse is that tomorrow we are supposed to get hit with a N'orseaster which will drop snow on the Northern and western suburbs of the city and very heavy winds and rain in my area. Wonder how many more trees will fall and roads will flood. I live around all lakes so that is always an issue. Physically I am fine but mentally I"m tired. I thought it was just me getting older but yesterday everyone at work was kind of drained from the past week. Now this week we are so busy that we have had to keep all the call people yesterday as we did over 100 cases. Today will not be much better. I work 2PM until 11PM so I go in when we are losing personnel but the cases are still running. On days like today I will go in and probably not eat dinner until 10:30 if I'm lucky. Getting used to it at this point. I work at a very busy place. Hope you have a great week and thanks for your kind words.

Yeah we are preparing for a N'oreaster and I'm not happy. The northern and Western suburbs are supposed to get snow. The city and New Jersey are supposed to get high winds and pouring rain. That's the scoop but I don't think it will be a "designated" day because no one at work was saying a word and I haven't looked at the weather since the hurricane although it has been freezing cold for the past few days. Since you worked in a hospital I'm sure you can appreciate this -- They announced they were closing all the bridges due to high winds which made driving over the bridge unsafe. However, if you had hospital ID you could pass. Are you kidding me? I have gone over the Ben Franklin bridge with 25 mile an hour winds and my SUV was moving around in my lane. How do you think 60 mph winds might do?
