It was a rainy day. I asked my husband if he would sit for a few photographs. He didn't have to pose and I wouldn't keep him long, just wanted to practice with lighting and close-ups. He agreed and he sat while I shot. I didn't notice anything unusual about him until I put the photos on the computer. Thats when I saw his sadness and despair. He has Stage 4 lung cancer and he's pretty good at hiding his worry and emotion. But my camera caught it and I felt terrible that my heart had missed it.
