On our second day at K.I we made our way to Vivonne Bay where were staying for the next 3 nights. Cape Du Coudec lighthouse near Vivonne Bay was one of my must shoot locations on the island.
That afternoon everything was coming together - not a single other person was in sight, I had (after an afternoon of much deliberation) my composition decided and the clouds were rolling in nicely. Then, right as the sun was setting, a few thick dark clouds met it on the horizon and the show was abruptly over.
I was still happy with the shot but I wanted one more attempt at this stunning location.
This shot was taken on our 3rd night in Kangaroo Island.
