The Pacific Northwest is an amazing place, but for me, perhaps nothing is more amazing than our yearly Salmon runs.

We went out yesterday to find some of these returning Coho Salmon and photograph them as they swim back to the same streams and creeks that they were born in 3-5 years ago. Since then they have traveled thousands, if not tens of thousands of miles.

Now in the final days of their lives, their bodies undergoing massive changes and plagued by parasites of all kinds, they seek out their birthplace so that the wonder can continue on.
