I saw this shot a lot when I went to this spot. I really wanted to make something different. I had a mountain and a river, pretty basic. So how did I make the scene special? I waited for a day that had a good sky. I waited until sunset when the mountain glows. Then I found a nice reflecting pool that forms when the river's water recedes. I got to the location first. I felt like a bloody steak in the middle of a pack of wolves. Other photographers wanted my spot :). Early bird gets the worm. :)
