It was the sudden stop and look this panther gave that was so chilling. I did some initial work on color and tonality hiding the effects of the chain fence and then wasn't certain about the background. At first I thought a darker color might work but decided later to use a Brilliance/Warmth CEP filter with minus control points on the panther. All that brought out the rich textures of black fur on the panther...and yellow eyes…
