On arriving in Devon, I pitched my tent in the fading light and jumped in the car and tried to find Welcombe Mouth bay. It took me a while but I found it just in time. When I got out the car I realised I had parked a foot from the edge of a small cliff so i quickly re-parked. I then crossed a river on stepping stones and climbed down the jagged cliff to the beach.
Its always quite daunting the first time on a location and the wind and the noise of the crashing 8 foot waves didn't help to settle my nerves. I took a few shots and a surge of water almost took my feet out and filled my wellies with water. I didn't think I got anything worth keeping that night but i just found this shot and quite liked it.
Just noticed the moon is visible on the left.
