Behind the scene story:
The challenge to get this photo was to approach this owl, as most burrowing owls are skittish. They either fly away or get back into their burrow. But this one was very curious and actually approached me a little bit when I walked closer. And it still took me a long long time to establish the "trust" for him/her to let me get close. We glanced at each other for quite a few minutes before I left. What a treat! It was right before sunset, as you may be able to see it from the eye reflection.
