My original intent was to photograph the Leonid Meteor Shower from Elbow Falls where ther is often clear skies when the surrounding area is overcast. There very few meteors to be seen however, and I contented myself with photographing the scene during the night. The image foreground was exposed for 20 seconds at ISO 200/f8 just prior to dawn. While the sky was exposed for 30 seconds at ISO3200/f3.5 early in the night. Both images were subsequently blended by hand in photoshop CS5. The corner of the sky with the stars was the only area that was clear during the entire exposure that is why there are only stars in that corner.
