The distance between things - objects, people and places, can all be put into different perspectives, depending on how close you are to them. Stand at the feet of the pinnacles in the distance, in the south of Iceland, and these straggled rocks havethe largest, most domineering appearance. Stand far away and they fall in comparison to the mountain beside them, mere children in the face of the broader picture. Standing back should allow you to draw your own comparisons, but if you stand at their feet, they're still taller than you.
