Argentina used to have a huge railway network. In the 90s the goverment granted concessions to private companies to operate them, these companies not only refused to make investments and eventually many tracks were dismantled and closed. This led to the emptying of many small rural towns which became isolated. The good thing is that some of them are still struggling by developing new activities, specially tourism. This photograph was taken in the suburbs of one of such towns. It's also the first photograph I've ever exhibit a few years ago.
