This is very nice b/w work. I think the apparent softness actually works as an interesting contrast between the hard weather and perceived motion of the water and wind.

Very nice shot Dominique, this seems to sum up very well the bleakness you can get way up there in the highlands. I bet during the summer months that the Shetlands are very beautiful.
What did you convert this picture with? The resaon I ask is the contrast is a little low, feels like it could do with some punch as there are no blacks in the picture.

you're right, it is rather soft. I've converted it in PS6. I think the reason for the lack of definition is that I took the photo through my window while it was raining hard; the window was wet and the air full of water. Probably the problem arose when I took the photo.
