Thanks John! My description wasn't clear - and in fact the title is off too (this is dawn, not dusk). This was the softer light - earlier I had returned on the way back home from Toroweap just to check the spot out and that's when the light was harsh. Regarding the contrast - I'm on the fence, I went both ways and settled for in between - perhaps making a stronger decision one way or the other would have been better.

I think I liked it better when I thought this photo was part of the small exclusive things that exist in the world that you wouldn't lick.
