A snow goose (blue-morph) seen in the Outaouais river adjacent to the Mud Lake Conservation Area, Ottawa. The snow goose was swimming along with a small group of Canada geese. It really seemed to be "part of the group", swimming up and down this stretch of the river with them. Snow geese are generally found with groups of their own species and only occasionally seen in this area. This photo was published in the weekly bird column by Elizabeth Le Geyt, in The Ottawa Citizen of December 1, 2012.
