The Moon rises in the early evening just as the sun is setting on this late September day in Banff National Park.

Located in the Mistaya River Valley southwest of Mount Murchison. Banff Park, Alberta. The major headwaters of the Saskatchewan River.

Named in 1961. The glacier which seems to hang on a narrow shelf above the steep cliffs which drop into the valley, was thought to resemble to the shoulder ornament which is part of some military uniforms generally worn by fairly high ranking individuals. Official name.
