Awesome capture. Could be the cover photo of a coffee table book on GNP. An image like this is one of those once in a lifetime ones.

I visited this same place 2 weeks ago and you can take a look at one of my shots http://500px.com/photo/1949261. I like this shot a lot and I wish one of the goats were as cooperating during my time there. However - I do feel foreground rock bit over saturated - but it could be my monitor. Thanks.

I should clarify also by "recently" I mean I was here a few days after you. I don't want you to think that I'm saying I was here once and there for know how it should be. I just happened to be in the park to see the same great lighting.

Glad you had fun in the park with Joe. It was a great time to be there. No offense was intended merely constructive criticism. Take it or leave it my feedback is the foreground including the goat looks too bright to my eye. Photography is subjective both as the photographer and viewer. If the image holds true to your vision then by all means keep it as is. Otherwise the feedback might help you with future processing or image description to set viewer expectation appropriately. BTW for what its worth I'm not questioning if the goat was real or not. They love to hang out there. I saw several on my hike here.

Having recently been here what strikes me about this image is the lack of natural shadow. The mountain goat and rock should be quite shadowed. With all due respect the image looks over processed and unnatural to my eye... to the point the goat looks like he's been placed there via an image composite. The conditions are amazing, but overshadowed ironically by the lack of shadow. I hope you enjoyed your time in Glacier it's a truly magical place. Were you by chance there with Joseph? The lighting conditions looks quite similar to photos I've seen on his blog.
