On this afternoon I arrived close to sunset and headed out in the forest to scout a few possible locations. The area had received some good rainfalls which brought forth a myriad of grasses which, at the time I arrived there, were all covered in beautiful seed heads and I knew they would look spectacular when all back-lit by the setting sun.
As the sun was close to hitting the horizon it found a small gap through some clouds and lit up the grasses just as I had hoped creating the most beautiful golden tones all across the landscape of the Quiver Tree forest.
It doesn't matter how many times I visit the Quiver Tree Forest, each time there are so many possibilities and so many surprises with lighting. It truly is a very rewarding location for photography and I know I will still spend many more days and nights there.
