The titan triggerfish is usually wary of divers and snorkelers, but during the reproduction season the female guards its nest, which is placed in a flat sandy area, vigorously against any intruders. Although bites are not venomous, the strong teeth can inflict serious injury that may require medical attention."The flesh of the titan triggerfish is sometimes toxic and not eatable"
"This shot was taken at warm waters of Malaysia".
Why They called this name???
As a protection against predators, triggerfish can erect the first two dorsal spines The first, (anterior) spine is locked in place by erection of the short second spine, and can be unlocked only by depressing the second, “trigger” spine, hence the family name “triggerfish”.
