There is a cave system about forty minutes from me (in Eganville, Ontario) that was carved out of the soft limestone by the Bonnechere River. It is interesting (but a relatively small cave system). More interesting, however, is the setting, where the river flows over a bed of limestone full of great textures. This shot was taken right before dawn. I hopped down onto on of the higher rock striations to get this perspective of the limestone riverbed. The water entrance to the cave system is on the left, and to the right you can see the natural steps the river takes descending from this spot. Fascinating, and a place that I plan to revisit in better light in the future.
