Hi Doug. I noticed that you had a question about my point of the arches shot, so I thought I'd leave a reply here. Unfortunately I didn't note what the tide was. I just got really lucky. In order to see the foreground rocks the tide should be on it's way out. Once it gets too far out then there isn't any water action in the foreground though. You might want to try asking Chip Phillips. I know that he has some great images from shi shi and is a professional so probably pays more attention to those things. Also, when I was there over the summer the rocks in the foreground were covered by sand so they were barely visible. Hopefully that will have changed by the time you go. Also, I looked through your website and you have some incredible images. Best regards.
