I was enjoying the playfulness of a pack of Lions at the Okondeka Waterhole in Etosha Namibia. Typical to the region a quick thunderstorm cooled the late afternoon air. The Black Rhino came strolling down to the waterhole. Thirst was his only objective and did not pay any attention to the 11 Lions that observed his every move. He drank for a couple of minutes and all at a sudden calculate the surroundings. Lions positioned themselves for an easy stalk. Without a warning he surprised me and the attackers and escaped galloping up the hill.
