Never got tired looking at the dripping water against a green background and the red sockeye salmon against the green. After spending days in Katmai, I observed that, against common belief, bears weren't that good at catching salmon. While at this remote location at Katmai, the success rate of catching a salmon at each jump maybe less than 10%, while at Brooks Fall, the bears would wait at the water for hours without catching one. Life wasn't so easy for them!
