This photo was taken during a photo workshop that I led in the Dolomites October 2012.
Lago di Carezza is well known for the beautiful surroundings with Rosengarten on one side and the Latemar behind the lake as seen in the photograph. The green water is quite amazing and a remarkable feature of this lake. It's a major tourist attraction in the area and sometimes it can be difficult to get the pictures you would like.
This is an HDR image blended from 5 exposures in the 32 bit Photomatix HDR plugin for Lightroom and then tone mapped in Lightroom 4.3.
