I wanted a background image for my computer desktop, with bokeh. It was simple enough to find the scene I wanted and defocus the lens for a pleasing effect. The result is (A).
I then wanted to share it. However, I am certain most of you will just say that it's an out of focus image, regardless of the bokeh (there's too much detail juuuust out of focus.)
Hence I went for some alternative images. The idea was simply to anchor the image on something (i.e. having something in focus.)
The results are presented in (B) and (C).
The question is, which one do you prefer. Not necessarily like, mind you. You might be considering the best of the worst.
Why not just put up all three images and let the likes/faves decide? I actually want to keep only my best shots on 500px, not just swamp you with all my so-so to good shots. And this way, I can guarantee that people would see all three images.
Looking at it, it might be an attractive way of salvaging 3 possibly so-so sho ts.
I happen to like (A) the most.
Anyway, this 3-paneled effort is simply my work life intruding into my hobby. :) I hope this was humorous, at least.
