James an elderly man came across an old boat that was sitting in someones front yard. It was transported to a boat builder shop. He believes is worth restoring. Being a passionate individual that has a strong will. He is a rare individual to have the patience to take on such a extensive project. Seeing a boat like this in it's present condition, over 100 yrs old, neglected for years, most individuals would demolish it.
Though it is broken, there is a beauty to her. Her lines and unique features. Sanding the paint off to find hidden beauty in the wood. A poetic and romantic adventure.

The lighting was a challenge with this subject. I spent about an hour shooting at all different angles. This was the only shot that worked well with the light I had. It lit up all the dust from his sanding.
I adjusted the contrast and the B&W worked better than the color version.
