I would like to wish all of my followers a very happy and healthy holiday season. I joined this site in May and in the ensuing months I have been privileged to see some really great photographs and have learned so many things from being able to view your shots. I have learned that I am interested in new areas that before were just not a thought. I have seen techniques that I am dying to learn. I have asked questions and have gotten critiques and all have been helpful in my quest to improve my skills. It has forced me to go out and take more shots which can only improve one’s techniques even though some days I come home and load up what I took and think What the . . . .! However the best thing about being here is that I have made friends who I miss when I don’t hear from you. A few have a great sense of humor and always make me laugh when I read their comments. Others don’t speak English and I use Google Translate which does not do a great job but I get the idea of what that person is trying to tell me. One person sent me a Google comment and it translated into “I want to lie upon you.” I was dumbfounded until I realized that really couldn’t be what the person said. It has for the most part been an enjoyable 7 months and I hope that my friends feel the same way. We will all be busy in the next couple of weeks so please be happy and stay safe.
