Minus five in South East England doesn't happen all too often so I made the trip to Fairfield Church in Romney Marsh with the hope of a nice sunrise. I have tried to photograph this location 6-7 times before and its a tough one to get right with out some low lying mist. The frost added the missing element to the scene I was looking for.
To start with I was on the opposite side hoping the sun would light up the church but it just didn't happen. I should have been this side for the magic moment as the sun was a huge orange/pink ball of fire. Luckily the sun went behind the cloud for this shot so i could just about control the light in a single exposure with a fair bit of raw recovery.
