A windy day it really was that day at the Spit near Homer in Alaska. Temperatures of -20 Celsius (-4 Fahrenheit) and wind gusts of more than 50k (35 miles) an hour.
Normally the Eagles do land with their wing and tail feathers widely spread out , but as you can see in this image the Eagle has quit a different pose to come down for a landing. Looks more like it sits on the wind because if he would have spread the wings he for sure would have been blowing away.
