So called because I had been here a couple of time previously during the week only to see the sun sink behind a low bank of cloud on the horizon ... when I initially set off it looked likely again, but thankfully the conditions were more favourable on this occasion. The light in the distant shades is purely created by then sun's reflection in them ... they hadn't turned the pier lights on at this point. Also, because they close the end of at a ridiculously early time, this was taken through the locked gate that adorns the pier.
