One of my favorite shots from a trip to the Grand Canyon. I spent several days on the south rim watching the snow fall, and hoping that I would get lucky enough to witness a dramatic sunrise over the canyon. On the last day of my trip I went out to the Yaki Point and waited paiently at sunrise to see if the clouds would part. It was snowing lightly and I could see that the clouds were moving from south to north. All at once the clouds parted briefly and let some light hit the canyon buttes. I started to fire off as many shots as I could knowing that the light would only last for a brief moment and got lucky.
